Defenders Depot Guide Updated 30 October 2026

Defenders Depot — official Roblox game image

Defenders Depot, by I_eif, is a Roblox tower defence game with a twist: instead of defending a fixed path on a shared map, you build and expand your own base on your own plot, then hold it against wave after wave of enemies. This guide explains the building loop, which turrets and traps are worth your Coins, and how the Rebirth system turns a reset into your biggest power boost. How Defenders Depot works

Defenders Depot gives you a plot of land and a small amount of starting Coins. You spend those Coins on turrets placed around your base and traps laid on the route enemies follow, then start the waves. Every enemy your defences stop earns you more Coins, which you reinvest in stronger turrets, upgrades and base expansions. Enemies that slip through cost your base, so the whole game is a loop: defend, earn, build bigger, and push to higher stages against tougher enemies.

The turret ladder is long and steep. You start with a simple Turret and a Crossbow, work up through the Minigun, Tesla and Orb of Light, and eventually save for heavy pieces such as the Flame Thrower, Volcano, Inferno and Rocket, with far more expensive turrets beyond them. You can also team up with friends to defend together and take part in base-versus-base battles.

Getting started — building your first base

Step 1

Redeem every working code first. Press the Gear/Settings button on the left of the screen, type the code into the Enter Code box and press Go. Codes pay out Coins, Basic and Godly Crates, and Chat and Trade Tokens — a real head start before you build anything.

Step 2

Buy a basic Turret and place it where it covers the longest stretch of the enemy route, ideally a corner or bend where enemies stay in range the longest. Placement matters more than raw power in the early stages.

Step 3

Add cheap traps on the path itself, starting with the Laser and then Spikes. Traps damage enemies as they pass over them and act as a safety net for anything your turrets miss.

Step 4

Reinvest your earnings in upgrades. Each turret can be upgraded three times, raising its damage, range or fire rate, and an upgraded starter turret carries you further than several unupgraded ones left scattered around.

Step 5

Open every crate you earn. Crates give you a spin for new base expansions and upgrades, and a bigger plot means room for more turrets and traps as stages get harder.

Progressing fast — stages, upgrades and Rebirth

The fastest progress comes from pushing stages steadily rather than replaying the earliest ones. Higher stages pay out far more Coins per enemy, and that income is what unlocks the next tier of turret. Farm at the highest stage range your current base clears reliably: if you are leaking enemies every wave, drop back slightly, upgrade your core turrets, and push again. Selling is forgiving — an unupgraded turret refunds most of its cost — so sell outdated pieces and put the Coins straight into their replacements.

The milestone that changes everything is Rebirth, available from around stage 250. Rebirthing resets your Coins and turrets, which sounds painful, but in exchange you receive a random Rebirth Tower — a powerful support tower you cannot buy with Coins — and these towers grow stronger with every Rebirth. Collecting them is the real long-term progression: effects include doubling the damage of neighbouring turrets, speeding up towers around them, slowing or stunning enemies, and even sending enemies backwards. Much later, Ascension lets veterans sacrifice a base in exchange for an Ascension Tower. Treat your first Rebirth as the start of the endgame, not a setback.

Best turrets, traps and tower roles

There is no single best tower — a good base mixes direct damage, rapid fire, path traps and, later, Rebirth support. Build around these roles:

Tower or trap typeWhat it does and when to use it
Turret and CrossbowYour cheap starting damage. The Crossbow is the natural first upgrade path, with longer reach than the basic Turret. Use them to survive the opening stages while you save.
MinigunRapid-fire damage at shorter range. Excellent once enemies arrive in steady streams, provided the path keeps targets in front of it.
Tesla and Orb of LightThe mid-game step up in raw power. The Orb of Light is notable for its very long range, covering several lanes at once — a strong anchor for a growing base.
Flame Thrower, Volcano and InfernoHeavy hitters for the denser, tougher waves that follow. Pieces like the Volcano can strike multiple targets at once, so they earn their high prices once swarms replace single enemies.
Traps — Laser, Spikes, Saws, Acid and beyondPlaced on the enemy route itself, traps damage everything that walks over them. They are your last line of defence and the cheapest way to soften a wave before it reaches your best turrets.
Rebirth TowersSupport towers earned by rebirthing, not bought. Force of Nature boosts the damage of adjacent towers, Crystal Enhancer speeds up nearby towers, Absolute Zero slows enemies, and others stun, teleport or devour enemies outright. Build your late-game base around them.

6 tips to defend more stages

1. Cover bends, not straight lines. A turret on a corner shoots at enemies for far longer than one beside a straight stretch. Walk the enemy route before placing anything expensive.

2. Upgrade before you duplicate. Three upgrade levels per turret mean one maxed-out core tower usually out-performs three basic ones — and it leaves plot space free for traps and support towers.

3. Never leave the path bare. Traps are cheap compared with turrets and they hit every enemy that passes. A trapped path buys your turrets the extra seconds they need on boss-like waves.

4. Sell without sentiment. Refunds are generous, especially on unupgraded pieces. Recycling an early turret into the next tier is almost always better than keeping it for nostalgia.

5. Rebirth as soon as it makes sense. Once your progress slows near the Rebirth stage requirement, take the reset. The Rebirth Tower you gain will carry your rebuilt base further than the one you gave up.

6. Defend with friends. Co-op defending and base-versus-base battles reward a balanced base, and friends can cover the waves your layout handles worst.

Defenders Depot — FAQ

How do I redeem codes in Defenders Depot?

Press the Gear/Settings button on the left side of the screen, type the code into the Enter Code box exactly as it is written — codes are case-sensitive and include any punctuation — then press Go. Rewards such as Coins, crates and tokens are added straight to your account.

What do crates do in Defenders Depot?

Crates, such as the Basic Crates and the rarer Godly Crate given by codes, give you a spin for new base expansions and upgrades. Expansions grow your plot, which means room for more turrets and traps, so open crates as soon as you get them.

What is Rebirth in Defenders Depot, and when should I do it?

From around stage 250 you can rebirth: your Coins and turrets are reset, and in exchange you receive a random Rebirth Tower — a powerful support tower that cannot be bought and grows stronger with each Rebirth. Do it once your stage progress stalls; the tower makes rebuilding faster and takes your new base further.

Is Defenders Depot the same game as Defenders Depot 2?

No. Defenders Depot 2 is a separate sequel with its own codes, currency and towers, and its codes do not work in the original game (or the other way round). Make sure you are redeeming a code in the game it was released for.
