Reaper 2 is a Bleach-inspired Roblox RPG set around Karakura Town, where the race you roll at the start decides everything that follows: Soul Reapers awaken a Zanpakuto, Hollows evolve stage by stage, and Quincy fight at range with a spirit bow. The game explains very little of this, so this guide lays out how progression, Shikai and Hollow evolution actually work, and what to do first. For free race rerolls, secondary rerolls and cash, start with our Reaper 2 codes page.
You begin by rolling one of three races — Soul Reaper, Hollow or Quincy — and grow stronger by completing quests, defeating NPC enemies and bosses, and fighting other players across Karakura Town and beyond. Levelling earns skill points to spend in the skill trees opened from the menu: weapon skills such as Kendo, hand-to-hand Hakuda, speed skills, a racial tree that differs by race, and a secondary tree for your transformation. Most abilities also draw on Reiatsu, the spiritual energy behind your race's special moves.
Your race is not just a label. It decides your weapon, your trees, how you progress and your ultimate form — Bankai for a Soul Reaper, Resurrección for an Arrancar, Vollständig for a Quincy. Codes matter here more than in most Roblox games, because many grant race and secondary rerolls: the free way to change your race, Shikai or Resurrección without starting again.
Check your race first. Open the menu and look at your skill tree to confirm whether you are a Soul Reaper, Hollow or Quincy, and read the race table below before deciding whether to keep it or reroll.
Follow the story quests around Karakura Town. They walk you across the map in order, pay cash and experience together, and carry you through the early levels far faster than wandering fights.
Spend skill points as you earn them, starting with your racial tree and main weapon. A focused build fights well immediately; points spread across every tree fight well nowhere.
Unlock your first transformation as soon as your race allows it. Soul Reapers can meditate and learn their Shikai's name from level 5, Hollows evolve as they level, and Quincy should practise keeping distance with the bow from the first fight.
Redeem every working code, but bank the rerolls. Spend cash codes freely; save race and secondary rerolls until you know which race or Shikai you are chasing.
Quests are the engine of levelling, so never fight without one active. Story quests drive early progress; once they slow down, layer daily, hourly and repeatable quests over your normal farming, so the same kills pay experience and cash twice. Quests also fund your rerolls: F33NY, at the motel in Central Karakura, rerolls your race or secondary for in-game cash — a realistic goal if you quest steadily instead of relying on codes alone.
Soul Reapers have a second track on top of levels. From around level 10 you can meditate and fight your own Shikai to earn Soul Nodes, which upgrade your Shikai in its tree — and the higher your Spiritual Standing when you win, the more nodes the victory pays. Soul Nodes are also the road to Bankai: prestige-era content reached by prestiging, unlocking your Shikai's base skills, taking the Fight Bankai skill and winning the duel it unlocks. Treat it as a long-term goal, not a first-week one.
No race is permanently the best. Each has a different early game, fighting style and route to its strongest form, so pick the journey you will enjoy.
| Race | Path and ultimate form |
|---|---|
| Soul Reaper | Fight with a Zanpakuto sword, backed by Kendo, Hakuda and speed trees. At level 5, meditate, ask your spirit its name, then draw your sword and type that name in chat to activate Shikai. Fight your Shikai through meditation for Soul Nodes, and after prestiging work towards Bankai. |
| Hollow | Evolve by levelling and fighting: Menos at level 15, then drain the Menos red bar by defeating NPCs to become an Adjuchas, then reach level 50 for Vasto Lorde. At any stage you can take the transform skill in your tree and pass its quick key-press challenge to tear off your mask and become an Arrancar — Menoscar from Menos, Adjucar from Adjuchas, Vastocar from Vasto Lorde — gaining a Resurrección. |
| Quincy | A ranged race with a summoned spirit bow — aimable normal shots and a heavier block-breaking shot — plus Triple Shot, Arrow Volley or Arrow Rain, Explosive Shot, the Blut Vene defence and a sabre for close fights. From level 25, take the Vollständig quest, a timed parkour and combat trial, then activate your rolled Vollständig by naming it in chat with a Quincy weapon out. |
For Soul Reapers, your Shikai is rolled, not chosen. Common rolls such as Zangetsu and Wabisuke are serviceable while you learn, while rarer names — Katen Kyokotsu, Benihime, Senbonzakura and Shinso, with Ryujin Jakka the rarest of the classic set — are what players reroll for. Rarer does not automatically mean better: what matters is whether its moves suit how you fight, and whether it has a Bankai to aim for.
1. Always quest before you grind. An enemy killed on a quest is worth far more than the same enemy killed while wandering. Keep a quest active at all times.
2. Do not become an Arrancar early. The Menoscar transform is tempting because it comes first, but it is the weakest Arrancar. Waiting until Vasto Lorde before transforming gives you the far stronger Vastocar instead.
3. Meditate and fight your Shikai regularly. For Soul Reapers, those fights are your steady source of Soul Nodes, and Soul Nodes turn a basic Shikai into a real build. Go in with high Spiritual Standing to earn more per win.
4. Save rerolls for a decision, not a mood. Race and secondary rerolls from codes are limited and random. Decide which race, Shikai or Resurrección you want first, then spend them.
5. Spend points with a plan. Prioritise your racial tree and one weapon tree, and take transformation skills as they open. A reset can fix a build, but planning avoids needing one.
6. Use transformations for fights that matter. Shikai and Resurrección run on a transformation bar rather than staying on forever. Save them for bosses, tough quest targets and player fights, not for travelling across town.

You must be a Soul Reaper. Reach level 5, press P to meditate, and choose the option asking your Zanpakuto its name. Then leave meditation, draw your sword and type the name it gave you into chat to activate Shikai. From around level 10 you can also fight your Shikai in meditation to earn Soul Nodes for upgrades.
Start as a Hollow. Reach level 15 to become a Menos, defeat NPCs to drain the red bar and evolve into an Adjuchas, then reach level 50 to become a Vasto Lorde. Only then take the Transform to Vastocar skill in your skill tree and complete its challenge — transforming earlier gives the weaker Menoscar or Adjucar instead.
Bankai is Soul Reaper endgame content. You need to prestige, unlock your Shikai's base skills, earn enough Soul Nodes by fighting your Shikai in meditation, and take the Fight Bankai skill in the skill tree. Equip that skill, win the duel against your Bankai spirit, and you can then activate Bankai in combat. Not every Shikai has a Bankai, so check yours before grinding for it.
Yes. Visit F33NY at the motel in Central Karakura and pay in-game cash for a reroll, or redeem a race reroll or secondary reroll code when one is active. The result is random, so a reroll guarantees a change, not a specific race or Shikai — save several rerolls if you are chasing one particular outcome.
